RADIESSE is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that fills and corrects lines around the nose, mouth, including nasolabial folds, marionette lines and smile lines.
RADIESSE is made of unique calcium based microspheres (calcium hydroxylapatite CaHA) suspended in a natural, water-based gel. RADIESSE works with your body to stimulate new collagen and deliver a natural, long lasting result. It does more than fill in facial folds and wrinkles – it restores facial volume.
RADIESSE is injected into the skin in a simple, safe, quick procedure. We typically administer some form of anesthetic to make this as comfortable as possible
The day of your appointment: Allow time before your 1st appointment for filling out forms and for consulting with the doctor .You may also be asked about your expectations for treatment and if you have any allergies or any condition that wouldn't make you a good candidate for RADIESSE dermal filler.
Before the procedure: Radiesse treatment has little to no downtime and is typically performed in a doctor's office with the use of a local anesthetic. In most cases, patients can return to normal activities almost immediately after treatment.
The procedure: ®Radiesse is injected under the skin, in a continuous stream, through a very fine needle into the appropriate facial planes for augmentation and correction. Radiesse stimulates the body to produce new collagen, giving you a natural look that lasts.
After the procedure: There's no recovery time needed. The most common side effects following injection include inflammation, tenderness, swelling, redness, and/or bleeding/bruising. These symptoms are usually mild and last less than a week. Patients who are using medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin, warfarin or certain vitamins and supplements may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection site. Following treatment you want to ice the injection site, keep your head elevated and no facial massage or saunas for 24 hours.
Seeing results: Results are immediate and can last 9 to 12 months. Results may vary.
Do not use RADIESSE dermal filler if you:
• have an infection where RADIESSE will be injected
• are allergic to any of the ingredients in RADIESSE
• are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
